Goodness, barely been in the office to get update together since early May. Apologies..

After a summer of hectic activity, a brief re-cap. Filming everything from historical re-enactments, corporate hi-tech production line, and interviews for a new online literary investigation / TV, not to mention editing music videos and a training dvd, plus researching locations and preparation of shooting script / stories for a new series on immigration - that was the Summer. Now, deeply involved in a film about the future face of Bradford, beginning work on a film to launch a new inner-city health trust, and editing a film about disability access to rock festivals. Also involved with Mind The Gap on an exciting project that is all hush-hush - wait till Olympic year!

More to follow - and soon.

Two films - one edited and premiered, the other at pilot stage - are currently dominating our production. The Friends of Ilkley Moor held their annual general meeting recently, and our film 'Ilkley Moor and You' was shown to an appreciative audience. Taking as its main theme 'how do you relate to Ilkley Moor?', the film featured three professionals who all take an interest in the Moor - an archaeologist, a social historian, and an environmentalist. We had stories of Stone Age settlements, early 20th century skating parties, band concerts and Pierrot shows, and finally a reminder of how delicate the Upper Moorlands and bogs are. More filming will follow through the year.

Our second film, based around the Brontes, is in development. We have completed preliminary filming in the USA, and are now planning the first UK shoot.

A new online commercial venture featuring employment opportunities and Bradford has also begun, with visits to firms and initial filming planned for May.

Post-production running solidly through the last six weeks has resulted in three films for longstanding clients, all cut from the extensive film archives we have built up having shot for these clients over a long period. This month, we put on the gladrags and attend the premiere of 'Misconnect' our recent drama co-production with Uplift Productions. Next month? Well, we have much on but the future remains rather interesting. Can't wait for that Big Society to arrive.

The holiday involved major re-thinks on a couple of projects - re-writing scripts, re-working film structures etc. We have just finished shooting a 10 minute drama for the Bradford City of Film Festival. Post-production starts at the end of January. Fascinating working with a great cast and crew. We have also filmed a pilot programme for a national / international charity, and plan to see that in full production later this Spring. We are also making a film with young people that will explain how to live with a support worker in your life. It's very powerful. Post-production on two other films relating to the poorer sectors of the community is ongoing. More to come!

Apologies for the delayed update.. Our recent filming has involved shooting for a drama documentary in the USA (Florida sunshine ah!) then an epic all-nighter filming a news piece for a web-traffic site about the dangers of driving on unlit roads - yes, it's a website about traffic - then filming migrants who have recently been given indefinite leave to remain but are having a rubbish time, plus shooting the renovation of Victorian Alms Houses in Bradford that have now been pressed into use as - Alms houses! Back to Victorian times eh? We have continued to film and post-produce for the NGOs we have long supported. Busy times ahead. But at least now we know one thing - the financial mess the UK is in can be solved by thumping the poor and disadvantaged. Marvellous to have such clarity.
