Four weeks of solid work with the Rohynga team at Horton Housing culminated in a civic celebration of integration at the Hilton. Partners from the council, health and education authorities, along with UKBA and the Government office, joined Rohynga community members to commemorate what's been achieved. The evening included a performance by the children of a traditional dance, plus several speeches by Ronhynga representatives. This community has been so badly abused over the years, and this was an event that left everyone moved and thrilled. Our four films captured the reality of Burma, life in the refugee camps, the experiences of arrival in the UK, and finally, how this new community is taking its place alongside the many others in Bradford.
