Words : news update

With the snow gone, we were out and about filming this month - but close to base. We shot inspections of renovated homes for young mums in Keighley, and a very lively clients' consultation in Halifax, both for Horton Housing Association. We are researching and scheduling a new DVD for this multi-service agency, and plan to hand over much of the on-screen presentation to the people who use the suppport services themselves. So, instead of creating 'top-down' messaging we hope to build more of a grassroots voice. Fingers crossed. Edit suite two is still full of rugby players - well, the Oxford University Rugby DVD is about to go to final edit - and edit one is about to be filled with Cambridge rugby. Our support for Save the Children currently involves post-production on a DVD outlining possible future volunteer strategy, and also some creative input to the charity's election lobbying. Child poverty in the UK is a political football that must not be kicked into the long grass.
